Here’s a message from President Andrew:
Greetings Rotarians and Guests,Not many people know this but my wife and I have a few traditions every New Year. In the week between Christmas and New Years Eve, we go through every drawer, cabinet, closet, nook, and cranny and we donate everything we haven't seen or used over the last year. Moving often and having sore backs have encouraged us to be somewhat minimalistic. Our annual cleaning is always a good reminder to be more intentional about what we bring into the house (except when it comes to containers. I'm quite certain we have over 50 mason jars). Then, on New Years Eve, we each take out a piece of paper. On one side, we write about things that went well throughout the past year and, on the other, how we'd like to see the next year going. Sometimes it's quite simple (floss regularly, exercise often), but sometimes the goals only sound simple (be kinder). We've kept a record of this over the past few years and it has helped us see how we've grown together more clearly.What are some of your traditions during the New Year? Coffee With a Rotarian
A natural part of Rotary is the networking and the fellowship you get out of meeting other Rotarians. Coffee With a Rotarian is a monthly program of our club where we match participating club members for one-on-one virtual (or in some cases in person) coffee meetings, so they can learn more about each other. This program is organized by member Tzviatko Chiderov.
This week we have Tanya from Atlanta, GA, USA reporting on a chat with Cecelia from San Jose, CA, USA.
I had a great conversation with Cecelia Babkirk, who is very knowledgeable about Rotary. Cecelia spent many years in the mortgage business, but she is currently preparing for a different lifestyle. She is scheduled to teach English in Ethiopia with the Peace Corps. Cecelia is looking forward to international living and is spreading the word on how people can live anywhere in the world they want to live.

Hey Members! What would you like to do? We’re working on putting together some exciting socials and impactful service projects for our upcoming quarter’s event calendar. Let us know what you want to do by posting in our members only Facebook Group (if you don’t have access, please request it with Webmaster Mitty). Remember, you’re only taking advantage of the full impact of Rotary when you’re stepping up to get involved.
Happy Dollars: Do Good by Sharing Something Good
Each week we ask our members to share stories with the club and toss in a few dollars to support our efforts. The primary goal of this section is to provide a fun way of getting to know each fellow members and guests, while giving back to a good cause.
Happy dollars is an opportunity to share something positive that has happened in your life whether it is personal or business. Think of it as your opportunity to brag a little, but also put a little bit into a karma jar. The money donated through happy dollars is put to charitable use, and the message that you leave for happy dollars will be posted in our online meeting the following week for the entire week for folks to see! (Pending that it’s appropriate!)Here are the happy dollars contributions from last week!This section is usually updated on the early hours of Saturday, so contributions made over the weekend may not be listed here.

Every week we bring to you a new program on innovation, entrepreneurship, and education, and how those contribute to service to others. Special thanks to member Roger Plested for leading our club's Programs Committee in finding us amazing speakers each week.
If you can not remember last New Years resolutions or you have stopped making resolutions, then this program is for you. I hope that you enjoy the interactive nature of the program with several club members as speakers. One of my resolutions for 2019 is to become familiar with my video editing program. When I do such tasks, I call it my play time.
