Here’s a message from President Andrew:
Greetings Members and Guests,This is the first year I’ve noticed that the internet has changed how I observe the seasons. Over the past month, I’ve been seeing more and more beautiful pictures of trees changing color. At first, these pictures were coming from National Parks in the northern States in Washington and Montana. Over the last couple weeks, pictures from Oregon and the northern parts of California have popped up on my feeds. You can almost track the spread of Fall through the origins of social media images. There’s something wonderful about experiencing the seasons this way; it’s a collective celebration of fiery colors for areas that have seen devastating fires as they spread southward like migrating birds.Through this e-Club platform, we get to see together and celebrate together. Members, if you haven’t already, sign up for Coffee with a Rotarian (please e-mail President-elect Tzviatko at pe@siliconvalleyrotary.com), brew up a fresh mug, and let’s celebrate together as leaves blush for some of us and wildflowers explode for some others.

Weekly Inspiration
Every week we start our meetings with a short video highlighting innovation, inspiration, entrepreneurship, or social change.
Once an epicenter for the kingdom of Pagan, this valley is now a majestic, ancient city in the heart of Myanmar. The Bagan archaeological zone was once home to over 10,000 temples built by past leaders of the ancient kingdom. Due to Mongol invasions and earthquakes, only 2,000 remain in the valley. With ongoing restoration efforts, the temples are periodically worked on to prevent any further deterioration.

Coffee With a Rotarian
A natural part of Rotary is the networking and the fellowship you get out of meeting other Rotarians. Coffee With a Rotarian is a monthly program of our club where we match participating club members for one-on-one virtual (or in some cases in person) coffee meetings, so they can learn more about each other. This program is organized by member Tzviatko Chiderov.
This week we have Tanya from Atlanta, GA, USA reporting on a chat with Roger from Kamloops, BC, Canada.
Roger Plested, who has been a Rotarian for forever, lives in Kamloops, British Columbia. Yes, Kamloops. It's safe to say that he is the only person I know who lives there, so that makes him Kamloops' unofficial tour guide. He said the city's green landscape is very beautiful, and he should know since he has a green thumb. Roger is an attorney by trade, and he is the proud father of 4 kids and proud grandfather of 5 grandkids. He's very wise. After discussing some of my goals, Roger helped me to come up with a six-month plan to transition to a Digital Nomad or as I like to call it: Luxury Hobo. I asked him for his life's advice and he simply said, "Do it!" Whatever it is you want to do, do it!

Remember, you’re only taking advantage of the full impact of Rotary when you’re stepping up to get involved.
Happy Dollars: Do Good by Sharing Something Good
Each week we ask our members to share stories with the club and toss in a few dollars to support our efforts. The primary goal of this section is to provide a fun way of getting to know each fellow members and guests, while giving back to a good cause.
Happy dollars is an opportunity to share something positive that has happened in your life whether it is personal or business. Think of it as your opportunity to brag a little, but also put a little bit into a karma jar. The money donated through happy dollars is put to charitable use, and the message that you leave for happy dollars will be posted in our online meeting the following week for the entire week for folks to see! (Pending that it’s appropriate!)Here are the happy dollars contributions from last week!This section is usually updated on the early hours of Saturday, so contributions made over the weekend may not be listed here.

Brian Liddicoat made a $15 donation.Well, looks like I'm set up to do three trials in three months. That's some kind of legal marathon but very exciting. Nothing more fun for a lawyer than conducting a trial.

Air Watch Bay Area website and reporting app are digital tools to reveal and act on air pollution in the San Francisco Bay Area, focusing on community air quality near the region’s five oil refineries.
