Timoteo Minas grows coffee in the shadow of an active volcano in Guatemala. Volcán de Agua has been erupting more frequently in recent years, but Timoteo is not stressed at all. In fact, there’s no place he’d rather be. Both the high altitude—his farm sits 6,300 feet above sea level—and the nutrient-rich volcanic soil are good for his plants and give his coffee a special taste.

Tueeulala Falls (880 ft) is the smaller of two water falls that flow into Hetch Hetchy Reservoir in Yosemite. The largest waterfall in Yosemite is Wapama located about a quarter mile from Tueeulala Falls. This photo was taken a few years ago at night during the summer after a heavy winter snow fall. There was so much water coming over the falls that the trail was impassable and the wind power created by Wapama Falls was blowing the water falling from Tueeulala off vertical. The next day, a hiker was killed at Wapama Falls while trying to cross the bridge at its base. This year could experience similar water levels.
Coffee With a Rotarian
A natural part of Rotary is the networking and the fellowship you get out of meeting other Rotarians. Coffee With a Rotarian is a monthly program of our club where we match participating club members for one-on-one virtual (or in some cases in person) coffee meetings, so they can learn more about each other. This program is organized by member Tzviatko Chiderov.

Happy Dollars: Do Good by Sharing Something Good
Each week we ask our members to share stories with the club and toss in a few dollars to support our efforts. The primary goal of this section is to provide a fun way of getting to know each fellow members and guests, while giving back to a good cause.
Happy dollars is an opportunity to share something positive that has happened in your life whether it is personal or business. Think of it as your opportunity to brag a little, but also put a little bit into a karma jar. The money donated through happy dollars is put to charitable use, and the message that you leave for happy dollars will be posted in our online meeting the following week for the entire week for folks to see! (Pending that it’s appropriate!)Here are the happy dollars contributions from last week!This section is usually updated on the early hours of Saturday, so contributions made over the weekend may not be listed here.

I would certainly appreciate knowing more about the process from having a vision to executing it. So many people have moments of inspiration that combine their personal and professional passions, but are not sure how to begin the process. Maybe this could be another presentation for us sharing your experiences.

Like Mark and Tzviatko, I'm interested in hearing more about the places you have expanded to for this summer like South Carolina and Scotland. You mentioned in your talk having in place a tandem team of surfing instructor and professional therapist. Have these therapists doing their training with your programs in California, Peru, Cuba or the Philippines? This seems like a wonderful program to expand throughout the world. Perhaps Rotary clubs in future expansion countries can play a role in securing boards, suits and other materials your teams will need? I have family in Brazil and am sure this concept would be so useful and well received there. Again, thanks for the wonderful talk!
