Greetings Rotarians and Guest,Summer in the Northern Hemisphere is almost over. In the States, many of our kids are either back in school or have just started grumbling as they wake up. With the sunrise coming later and later, some of us may be grumbling as well. Despite this, I hope this meeting can be a small dose of inspiration in your week. So wherever you are, whether it’s time for coffee or wine (or both), whether you’re walking to work, on the bus, or lounging at home, just relax a spell and enjoy a bit of what it’s like to be a Rotarian. Weekly Inspiration
Every week we start our meetings with a short video highlighting innovation, inspiration, entrepreneurship, or social change.
The rearview mirror: a trusty soldier in the pursuit of security, a means of scanning for approaching traffic or monitoring backseat mischief. Surely its inventor had safety on the mind! Well, not quite. In 1911, a racer vying to win the inaugural Indianapolis 500 thought adding a rear-facing mirror would give him a speedy edge. Not where you thought this was going, huh?

Coffee With a Rotarian
A natural part of Rotary is the networking and the fellowship you get out of meeting other Rotarians. Coffee With a Rotarian is a monthly program of our club where we match participating club members for one-on-one virtual (or in some cases in person) coffee meetings, so they can learn more about each other. This program is organized by member Tzviatko Chiderov.

Remember, you’re only taking advantage of the full impact of Rotary when you’re stepping up to get involved.
Happy Dollars: Do Good by Sharing Something Good
Each week we ask our members to share stories with the club and toss in a few dollars to support our efforts. The primary goal of this section is to provide a fun way of getting to know each fellow members and guests, while giving back to a good cause.
Happy dollars is an opportunity to share something positive that has happened in your life whether it is personal or business. Think of it as your opportunity to brag a little, but also put a little bit into a karma jar. The money donated through happy dollars is put to charitable use, and the message that you leave for happy dollars will be posted in our online meeting the following week for the entire week for folks to see! (Pending that it’s appropriate!)Here are the happy dollars contributions from last week!This section is usually updated on the early hours of Saturday, so contributions made over the weekend may not be listed here.

Also, thanks for the presentation about telemedicine. As someone who grew up in a rural part of California, I believe that there are many local partners that could explore telehealth services for rural communities (https://www.ruralhealthinfo... and ways that Rotary could be involved. As mentioned, a big part of the issue is the differences between the states in terms of licensing, etc., but if it's something you are passionate about, there are certainly advocacy roles, whether it's the speed of connectivity to the licensing required.
